Ayurvedic Body Constitution Consultation

Ayurveda is derived from Sanskrit, Ayur, meaning ‘Life’ and Veda, meaning ‘Science or knowledge’. It ultimately means, ‘Knowledge of Life’.

The Ayurvedic premise tells us that stress and imbalance creates disease within our consciousness which Ayurveda addresses by recommending specific lifestyle changes and the adoption of natural therapies in order to regain balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment again.

The process within Ayurveda begins with a questionnaire specifically designed to uncover your unique mind/body constitution or ‘type’, according to the life force that predominates within you. No two people can be the same and thus, Ayurveda is geared towards bringing balance back to your life in accordance with what you specifically need.

Your Ayurvedic Consultant will ask you a series of in-depth questions covering every aspect of your life, from your exercise choices, likes and dislikes, personal habits, mental attitudes, sleep and dietary routines, right through to social conforms, career choices and day-to-day patterns. From this initial assessment, you will be given a ‘blueprint’ of exactly what your personal constitution is, how significantly the life forces of air, fire and water (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) effect you and ultimately, where imbalances lie.
Your consultant will introduce you to simple but impacting lifestyle changes, including adjustments to your sleep cycle, reductions or increases of certain foods, types of exercise, activities and daily choices. A particular diet specifically for everyone’s particular constitution is then prescribed, along with herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation.

The goals of the recommendations provided assist individuals to eliminate impurities, reduce symptoms and increase resistance to disease. The results are a radical reduction in worry, and dramatically increased harmony in life.
