Couples Therapy
- How do you behave in your relationship when your partner triggers you?
- What are you sensitive about, and how do you express that?
- Where do your insecurities lie, and how do they play out?
- Do you bring them into your togetherness? Does your partner?
Relationships are the most fascinating areas of our lives. We can’t live without other people but sometimes it feels like we can’t live with them. Men and women inherently think, feel, and act differently from one another, but that’s not the reason why things fall apart or go so terribly wrong, any couple who tried to start something together can find themselves in the depths of despair wondering what is going on. It certainly helps when you understand a little bit more about the way the opposite sex or the partner you’ve chosen, thinks and operates, but there’s a whole area of relationships that is often overlooked, and when brought to light, makes sense of everything.
Three of the four relationship types are problematic. The Co-dependent, Aloof and Black Dominant dynamics will play out causing less than happy outcomes. Whereas the fourth type is called Functional Relating and can set you up together for the long haul.

You see, every relationship that you enter into, holds a particular dynamic that is formed between the personalities of the people involved. Your relationship, particularly the closest ones, such as your romantic connections, are the ultimate reflection of how you feel about yourself. Your relationships reflect your deepest unconscious beliefs about who you think you are. You’ve heard that saying, ‘Opposites attract…’ What exactly is it that’s being attracted? And why is it that it’s sometimes not so attractive as time goes by?
The fact is that those attractions are coming from an unconscious place of what people feel they need in life and believe that can be fulfilled by the other person. Unconsciously the belief is that the other person is going to make them whole, fix them, solve the problem of who they unconsciously feel they are, and of course, that can never happen. No one is broken. No one needs fixing.
Unfortunately, while you don’t recognise your own wholeness and go into a relationship from that place, then you are setting yourself up for trouble and dysfunctions begin to form.
When each of you can come into the relationship in your wholeness and in your personal sovereignty, it ignites into the true meaning of togetherness. It’s magical! Nothing could come between you and the whole world is yours to create an amazing life experience within. Sovereign relationships are a choice and that choice can only come through awareness.
